Earlier this week a young athlete passed away whilst competing in a contact sports. Our thoughts are with his family and friends, his team and the opposition team from that game. We all enjoy our sports, yet for some the price paid is high.
There was no suggestion from anyone of foul or illegal play, however the real dangers of contact sport reinforce to me at least the need for all players to commit to playing within the laws and intent of the game.
